- I was born in Alaska but grew up in southwest Virginia and Washington State. I lived in New York during law school, first Buffalo and then Spanish Harlem. After law school I taught English in the French Riviera for one year before moving to Anchorage, Alaska in 2010 to work as a judicial clerk for two years. In short, I'm a recently licensed attorney and lover of all things new and interesting, especially languages, traveling and anything that involves being outside.

- Central and Eastern Europe: Czech Republic, Slavakia, Austria, Hungary, Croatia, etc
- Croatia: beaches and Eastern European history
- France: Driving holiday to see the regions best experienced by car or bicycle- Bourgogne, Brittagne, et Normandie.
- Greece: ruins, beaches, great food, ferries, mountains, and wine
- Montreal: my favorite language in one of my favorite countries and likely the only city in Canada with truly good food!
- Nicaragua: Like Costa Rica, only less expensive
- Prague, CR: one of the most intact cities in Europe, great art and a dynamic history, plus a lot of weird anamatronic clocks
- Southeast Asia: Thailand & Vietnam
- Taizé: I always want to visit Taizé!
- Western US: San Francisco, Big Sur
