Holy Multilingualism, Batman!

On Christmas Eve, Leigh and I ate our French inspired dinner to the Edith Piaf channel on Pandora Radio. It was through this random sampling of Paifesque musique that I discovered the song "Sympathique" by Pink Martini. I assumed that Pink Martini was the Lady Gaga of French lounge music. I was wrong.

Turns out Pink Martini is an American "little orchestra" that plays a varied repertoire of music in a variety of languages. A glance at their discography on their official website indicates that they record songs in English, French, Spanish and Italian for sure and possibly other languages also. The best part is that the lyrics are clearly pronounced and they even point out the multilingualism in videos by translating some words, so it's actually quite useful for listening comprehension practice and pronunciation (if you sing along). How fun!
